What's the difference between 3D and IMAX 3D glasses?

Last updated on 08 October 2025

For 3D screenings, you must bring your own 3D glasses. These are "passive" 3D glasses, available for purchase in the shop of your Pathé cinema.

For IMAX 3D screenings, glasses are provided by the cinema at the ticket control checkpoint, along with a cleaning wipe. These are "active" 3D glasses and must be returned at the end of the screening, as they cannot be used outside the IMAX theater of your Pathé cinema.
